Glenfarclas 21 Year Old
Color: Golden straw and honey with noticeable aspects of amber and a tinge of orange.
Nose: A leafy creamy honey caramel with accompanying essences of butter, vanilla, subtle smoke and hints of grass.
Flavor: Dry complex and smooth with buttery tastes of caramel, vanilla, and light oak and salt.
Finish: A mellow complex creamy aftertaste of short to medium duration accompanied by hints of oak, fruit, peat, almond, and salt .
Brief Comment: Visit the Glenfarclas cask strengths!

Talisker 10 Year Old
Color: Golden honey with amber tones having slight touch of copper, bronze, straw and oloroso.
Nose: Smokey, clean, creamy, caramel flavor with smooth, spicy elements and a hint of fresh baked bread.
Flavor: Distinctly smokey with a light salty flavor . A complex, smooth, creamy dry malt with aspects of tangy spice.
Finish: A very smooth, long, and lingering light finish with evaporative elements of spice, cream, sweet and oak.
Brief Comment: A spectacular 10 year old!


Auchentoshan Three Wood
Color: Amber, bronze, and dark honey tones with mahogany highlights and traces of deep copper.
Nose: Sweet, fruity, and spicy with caramel and malty overtones.
Flavor: Complex spicy, herbal, and nutty along with sherry oak wood tastes.
Finish: Quite long and lingering with spicy, spirity, and salty elements.
Brief Comment: The wine maturation woods overwhelm this whisky.

Oban 14 year old
Color: A honey golden hue having amber and bronze highlights
Nose: Aromas of vanilla, honey, hay, and light smoke with buttery aspects of sweet fruit, citrus, and light chocolate.
Flavor: Creamy smooth herbal tastes of wood, salt and sherry having polite tinges of nut, smoke, and vanilla.
Finish: Of lingering medium length with malty, mellow, and light tones of pepper, smoke, nut and peat.
Brief Comment: I'd take this malt on a picnic!

Glendronach 15 year old
Color: Dark mahogany and amber with coppery tones accompanied by a deep warm bronze with tinges of honey and oloroso .
Nose: Caramel and sherry dominate, but it also has creamy, vanilla, and honey aspects along with light hints of nut, butter, hay and fruit.
Flavor: Mature creamy sherry with sweet light smoke flavors predominate with tinges of light peat, oak, chocolate and nut.
Finish: Very smooth but shortish and complex having elements of peat, creamy butter, and a mellow chewiness.
Brief Comment: Lovely after dinner nip.

Ardbeg 17 year old
Color: Markedly honey and golden colored having touches of pale bronze and amber.
Nose: Quite smokey and peaty with accompaniments of seaweed, grass, nut, and caramel.
Flavor: Clean dry multi tiered salty peaty taste with aspects of smoke, light oak, and a tinge of iodine.
Finish: Longish and salty with oily smooth elements conflicting with some harshness and sharpness.
Brief Comment: A fine light Isla with some interesting peaty undertones

Color, Nose, Flavor, and Finish: These were left out because the Chivas product "Century Of Malts" is a vatted whisky containing 100 single malts. Individual Brief Comments:
Manos: Smooth, mild, and relaxing but lacking a strong well defined identity and finish
Bob: Creamy, spicy, and great nose ----- lovely
Tony: I prefer singles ------ tasty but no finish
Leonard: An intriguing nose with a forgettable flavor ----- Thank you I'll have another
Raj: Any time for a single malt
Scott: A syrupy vanilla nose, malt and taste ---- lacking a distinct finish. An ok scotch
Paul: A little bitter but nice with no discernable finish
Bruce: A very pleasant and elegant vatted malt.

Bladnoch 22 year old
46% by volume alcohol, distilled in 1965 and bottled by Moncreiffe in 1989.
Color: Dominantly amber with bronze, honey and straw highlights.
Nose: Sweet, creamy, and fruity accompanied by a light complex mix of vanilla, peat, butter, caramel and heather tones.
Flavor: Smooth sweet honey with aspects of creamy spice and vanilla along with earthen hints of oak, caramel and fruit.
Finish: Lingering with medium length; smooth and spicy with delightful light tinges of oak, cream, burnt peat, and caramel.
Brief Comment: YES!!! ---- A full strong sophisiticated Rolls Royce of a malt.

Laphroaig 30 Year old
Eextremely rare single malt scotch whisky 43% ABV, and bottled in November of 1997. ( Bottled from 123 sherry butts branded with the legend SS Great Auk, believed to be the ship in which they came from Jerez. --- M. Jackson

Color: Dark amber with a hint of honey and golden highlights.
Nose: A rich aromatic sweet smokiness along with floral tones of cream, fruit, heather, and seaweed.
Flavor: Smooth, creamy, sweet, peaty, and focused smokey taste, accompanied by hints of crisp spice and tangy honey.
Finish: Everlastingly long and lingering, with penetrating and upwardly aggressive aspects of sweet cream and vanilla.
Brief Comment: An elegant powerful Isla Goddess.
