Laphroaig Cairderas

COLOR

Dark golden or copper color like honey, white wine infused with orange peel, Hawaiian teak, mango lemonade, or the beautiful peat-ed waters of Loch Ness.

NOSE

Smoke, citrus fruit, peat, dust, sawdust, sour mash with sweet anchovies, "peasch", the combination of peat and peach.

FLAVOR

The sweet bold flavor of this dram contains overtones of citrus, oak, vanilla, peat, pepper, licorice, brown shugga and LOTS OF SALT!

FINISH

A medium burst of salt, salt, angry salt, oil, vanilla, caramel, toffee, almonds, licorice, hairspray blends into a long finale of salt and oil.

COMMENTS

Varied reactions from beautiful, to blunt dull and stupid. Overall, it's a bold dram that's worth trying and should provide for a fine single-malt experience.
