Lagavulin 8
COLOR
Lagavulin 8 has a pale wheat or straw color, a little lighter than most chardonnays.
NOSE
The nose hits you with the delicate aroma of smoke, light peat, lime, lemon drops, grass, grapes and grapefruit.
FLAVOR
The flavor is a delightful combination of sweet cream, burning caramel, vanilla, salt and honey.
FINISH
Long with smoke, honey, and seaweed. Lots to chew on as the best flavors remain on the palette.
COMMENTS
Much simpler than the older 16-year brother, but still complex enough to be enjoyable unto itself.
