Laphroaig 11
COLOR
Color of our host's, Larry's, shed. That's polished brass at sunset, Danish varnish, lightly steeped black tea, maple syrup, or acidic bog water.
NOSE
Vanilla, peat, eucalyptus, smoke, cherry, some burning eucalyptus, and Brussel sprouts.
FLAVOR
It's an interesting juxtaposition of sweet syrup, vanilla, salt, eucalyptus, flowers, peat smoke, toffee, caramel, and pepper.
FINISH
Medium smoke, burning tires, wood, medicine cream, lemon grass and lingering salt.
COMMENTS
An interesting but not terribly complex dram with a distinct divergence from the typical dram for the experienced connoisseur.
